WonderHip™ - a product of science
Developing good aiding devices requires thorough knowledge of the user and his situation
and challenges.
When Vital Base set out to develop the WonderHip™, the market was offering hip protectors
that were only theoretically functioning; they were hard and rigid and users complained
about pains and discomfort using them. This was a challenge to us, indeed.
WonderHip™ is what we could call a “product of science” and results from research
and testing within multiple fields of science. In addition to our own knowledge
we have benefited from the vast knowledge and competence at SINTEF Unimed and from
Dr. Endsjø. We transferred the experience we have gained from pressure relieving
and comfort giving products to shock absorbing, resilient and close-to-the-body
hip protectors.
WonderHip™ hip protectors arecapable of absorbing the forces at impact, thus reducing
the risk of a fracture. The soft material is optimised by body temperature and
the cushion forms to your body and gives you a new experience in hip protection.
